The show offers a path of lyrical suggestions on the theme of hearts in travel.
The leitmotif is Don Quixote, the heart of the errant knight. Reading is making him mad, reading as an overwhelming and unstoppable force, reading as magic.
The heart of Quixote is a visionary and poetic spectacle. The hearts become the different themes treated by Cervantes to describe the figure of the errant knight.
The hearts of fools. The theme of madness, but also of courage. The theme par excellence quixotic, the fight against windmills, the futility of the gesture but also the beauty of obstinacy, resistance, even in the awareness of the impossibility of winning.
The theme of honesty, ethics.
The theme of travel and discovery. It is known, one learns by traveling. Seeing is knowing, curiosity allows us to learn.
The theme of diversity and friendship. Quixote and Sancho: one educated, cultured and thin, the other villainous, ignorant and fat. What can be the happy interlocking for two such different figures and how precisely this diversity can make them so indispensable to each other.
The theme of love. Dulcinea, the idealized female figure, but also the conscious indispensable necessity of the other half of heaven.Lo spettacolo propone un percorso di suggestioni liriche sul tema dei cuori in viaggio.
GEK TESSARO is an author and illustrator of children’s books. Equipped with great communication skills, he leads image education laboratory activities, animated readings and meetings throughout Italy. Animated by a provocative spirit and a subtle ironic vein, his work is supported by a great passion for the graphic sign. From his interest in “spoken drawing, the drawing that tells” was born “the drawn theater”. Taking advantage of the unthinkable qualities of the overhead projector, with a highly original technique, he gives life to narratives drawn from his texts.
