La Tartana presents a work that has more than twenty different puppets, playing with all kinds of techniques, sizes, lights, shadows and colors. Flowers turning into fairies, cuckoos coming out of tree trunks, giant snails playing with children, witches flying with brooms to the moon. There will be no shortage of surprises that, at the pace already set by the exquisite work, will take us to a world where magic is hidden behind every tree.
Lost in the forest, Hansel and Gretel must face the dangers that threaten them, until they reach a fabulous candy house, where a terrible witch will trap them.
The pages of history come true in a very special way, through the work of Engelbert Humperdinck.
LA TARTANA TEATRO directed and founded by Juan Muñoz, made its first show in 1977, from that moment it conquered not only the Spanish streets and squares but those of all of Europe, carrying forward an idea of experimentation in the use of different types of puppets, different materials, dimensions and plays of light. Since 1996 it has also concentrated on creating shows for children, where experience, technique and quality are mixed with a pedagogical and educational approach. Tartana has shown that she doesn’t just want to tell a story, but recreate a world. Through his careful aesthetics, both of the sets and of the puppets, he manages to introduce the spectators into fabulous settings.
