INCANTI has rounded the Cape of 30 years
with a season increasingly in touch with the issues of the present. Constant is the focus on international research in figure theatre and on the blending of artistic languages for an essentially adult audience.

The 31st edition continues this path of cross-contamination and has presented a panorama of figure theatres that offer possible interpretations of reality. Amid fear, decay, and injustice, there is always also a positive gaze of reflection, growth, and possible rebirth.

Progetto Cantiere, dedicated to emerging companies — one of our windows onto the future — and the focus on training through two workshops (shadow theatre for children and micro-cinema for older participants), organized in collaboration with the Department of Cinema and Media Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Turin, Dams – University of Turin, and Aiace, has reached a new and interesting audience.

Unmissable, as always, were the events with Cinema Massimo, exploring the connections between Figure Theatre and Animation Film, the open-air day created with La Venaria Reale to bring its Gardens to life, and the collaboration with the International School of Comics of Turin, which every year gifts us with the wonderful imagery of the festival.
