INTRODUCTION

La Mecánica del movimiento

Under the guidance of Juan Muñoz, master and veteran of Object Theatre, participants will be brought to discover the small world of this particular kind of theatre and introduced to movements’ mechanics through the creation and animation of a puppet moving legs and head by a transmission placed in its rear part. For the creation recycling materials will be used. At the end of the course each participant will be able to infuse life into the own puppet and make him become narrator and protagonist of a story.

LA TARTANA founded and directed by Juan Muñoz, debuted in 1977 and since then has gained the streets and squares of Spain and the whole of Europe, bringing forward an idea of experimentation in the use of different types of puppets, materials, sizes, and light’s play. Since 1996 the company has also focused on shows for children, where experience, technique and quality are mixed with a pedagogy and educational approach. Tartana has shown that it wants not only to tell a story, but to recreate a world. Through his careful aesthetics, both set designs and puppets, it introduces the viewers into Fabulous settings.
