CURATED BY THE INTERNATIONAL COMICS SCHOOL OF TURIN

AN IMAGE FOR INCANTI

From 9 to 15 October 2020 at Casa del Teatro Ragazzi

Incanti continues in its purpose of promoting creativity and, again this year, has proposed to young designers and graphic designers the realization of its coordinated image.

Thanks to the collaboration with the International School of Comics, and in particular the course of illustration and graphics, Incanti offers a selection of some of the works produced for this project, as well as the cover image and the graphic realization of its material.

Exhibition for the 100 years of birth

HOMAGE TO GIANNI RODARI

From 9 to 14 October 2020 it will be open at the Casa del Teatro Ragazzi (dehors and hall), with contingent access, from 19.00 to 21.00.
The installation will not be accessible on October 10.

The Tales on the phone by Rodari (Turin, Einaudi, 1962) tell about a world of words and sounds for children and adults of all times. It has inspired three young actors, Nicola Morucci, Irene Paloma Jona and Irene Mori, to dedicate some images and sound suggestions to this book and its author, with the aim of offering some fun in this difficult year.

Thanks for the collaboration to Istituto per i Beni Marionettistici e il Teatro Popolare.

PHOTOGRAFING PUPPETRY IN COLLABORATION WITH IIS BODONI-PARAVIA

THE ENCHANTED BODONI

For some years Incanti has dedicated a space to the narration of Puppet Theatre through images, whether videos or photos: the shows but also the backstage, the audience and the atmosphere in general of the festival.

Begun in 2018, the collaboration with lIIS Bodoni-Paravia this year, is structured as a moment of encounter and exchange, and a small exhibition, curated by Stefano Rogliatti and Marco Emanuele, in which the classes of photography and video exhibit materials made in the edition of 2018 and at the same time documenting the present edition having fun in peeking behind the scenes. The edition’s theme “the travel” thus becomes a work on the image and a reason for meetings, discussions and insights.

COURSE OF PROFESIONAL TRAINING ABOUT PUPPETRY ARTS

ANIMATERIA

Born in 2018, this year it is linked to INCANTI through the Cantiere project thanks to the common intention of training a new generation of professionals in Puppetry.

Animateria is a course that aims to prepare competent experts in the techniques and in the languages of Puppetry through a rigorous training period. Its scope is to promote and encourage in particular the new generations of artists to the practice of Puppetry in all its forms, arousing interest in the extraordinary possibilities it has for experimentation in staging and dramaturgy.

Animateria has its headquarters in Piacenza and is financed by the Emilia Romagna region with resources from the European Social Fund, to train high specialized skills in the field of live entertainment. Besides INCANTI, many other collaborations with important realities of Italian Puppetry has been undertaken.
